Christos Laskaris

Christos Laskaris (Greek: Χρίστος Λάσκαρης, 1938 – 2008) was a Greek poet.

He was born in the village of Chavari in Ilia north-northeast of Amaliadain 1938 and at a childhood age, he moved to Patras. He was awarded the Cavafy International Award in n2007 from the Eastern Member Institute from Cairo.

Considered one of the greatest contemporary Greek poets, he spent most of his life away from public eyes.

Christos Laskaris passed away on June 11 2008.
