GR <p>Christos Laskaris (Greek: Χρίστος Λάσκαρης, 1938 &#8211; 2008) was a Greek poet.</p> <p>He was born in the village of Chavari in Ilia north-northeast of Amaliadain 1938 and at a childhood age, he moved to Patras. He was awarded the Cavafy International Award in n2007 from the Eastern Member Institute from Cairo.</p> <p>Considered one of the greatest contemporary Greek poets, he spent most of his life away from public eyes.</p> <p>Christos Laskaris passed away on June 11 2008.</p> 27 Christos Laskaris
